Volunteer Opportunities
Seasonal Events
Volunteer Description
During most of the holidays we serve the community. We serve meals at Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. We have a family-friendly Fall Alternative Night with games, booths, and lots of community donated food. At Christmastime we box up gifts so no child has to go through Christmas without receiving a gift. Most of these events are made possible because of the volunteers and community donors.
Ministry Match
We have behind the scenes, organizing, and detail-oriented opportunities, as well as people-oriented serving opportunities. You may be involved in planning and coordinating. You might be communicating with local churches or volunteers. You may be serving food or cleaning up after a meal. You may go shopping, or you may be wrapping up gifts. You may discover that serving people is a meaningful way to spend a holiday. Please don’t stay home alone or be lonely on a holiday. If you are grieving or separated from family or relatives, come and serve, and you’ll be treated just like one of our family at Pump House.
Time required
You may come and serve a two hour shift, or you may want to come and spend a day making a difference in people’s lives. You may come ahead of time to prepare for the event. You may come during the event to serve. Or you may come afterwards to help clean up after the event.
