The Homestead

"men helping men, building godly men"

The Homestead is a duplex that houses our emergency men’s shelter and our Carpenter’s Project men. Our motto for The Homestead is “men helping men, building godly men.” The Homestead has been undergoing renovations just as God has been renovating the hearts and lives of broken men who have stayed at our shelter. An anonymous donor gave money for the renovation of The Homestead. Our amazing maintenance team did an external makeover on the outside of The Homestead.

A hardworking work group from The Ebenezer Reformed Church in Illinois came this past summer and put on a beautiful wood deck for The Homestead men to enjoy. Other recent developments include the hiring of a new Homestead director, While staying there, residents receive 3 meals a day provided in The Pump House Café. They serve in our warehouse in our textiles ministries. Many of the men participate in groups and activities that help prepare them for graduating from The Homestead.
