Volunteer Opportunities

Church with the Unchurched

Volunteer Description

If you want to be involved in an “outside the box” church experience you can come any Thursday to our factory break room. We call this service Pizza, Pop, and Psalms. You will have opportunities to get to know people who work in our factory, who live at The Homestead, who volunteer here at Pump House, or people who are just coming with a friend. While enjoying a free lunch of pizza and pop, you’ll hear God’s Word shared in ways that relate to our daily lives. Occasionally people share their spiritual journey in this context. Pizza, Pop, and Psalms has been described as real, raw, refreshing, and relevant. You may make a new friend, have an opportunity to share your faith, and get some new ideas on ways you may share your Christian faith in your workplace.

Ministry Match

This is a low risk ministry opportunity for people who like pizza, pop, and people. Being able to talk to new people who are different from you will be a plus. You will have some new opportunities to form friendships and to discover ways incorporate faith-sharing over lunch. You will find this to be a good place to bring your unchurched friends, neighbors, or co-workers during your lunch break. You might like it and make it a Thursday ritual. If you don’t attend a weekly church service for a variety of reasons, you are more than welcome to join us.

Time Required

Any Thursday at noon you may join us without advanced notice. Our service is from 12 noon until about 12:20.
